EAGLE RIVER, Wis. — The Enchanted Doll Club of the Northwoods will celebrate the 60th birthday of Barbie when it meets at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Eagle Room of the Walter E. Olson Memorial Library. The world first was introduced to Barbie at the American Toy Fair in New York on March 9, 1959, according to History.com. In honor of her birthday, doll club members and guests who attend will share memories of Barbie and Barbies from their collection. Those who plan to attend are asked to wear something pink in Barbies honor. Barbie lovers of all ages are welcome.
