Ron Basso, center, was recently inducted into the First Degree of the Knights Of Columbus Iron River Council 2300. He is flanked on the left by his sponsor, financial secretary Terry Verville, who presented him with his first-degree membership card, and to his right is Grand Knight Rick Commenator, who presented Basso with a certificate of the First Degree. The First Degree teaches the virtues of charity. Council 2300 meets on the second Thursday of each month.
