Ash Wednesday worship set by Florence parish
FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence Parish, a partnership in Christian ministry of Bethlehem Lutheran and the First Presbyterian churches, invites the public to attend their Ash Wednesday worship service at 4 p.m. that day.
The Rev. R. Avery Carr, administrative interim pastor for the parish, will lead the service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on west U.S. 2 in front of Pat’s Foods Store. A soup supper will be served afterwards.
The parish will not have mid-week services during Lent this year; however, services are being planned and will be announced for Holy Week and Easter Sunday.
