Free meals to continue on a ‘drive through’ basis

KINGSFORD — The First Presbyterian Church of Kingsford will continue to provide free meals to the community as they have done every Monday for the past 17 years.

Meals will be prepared, packaged and delivered on a “drive through” basis from 5 to 5:30 p.m. each Monday, starting today, until indoor gatherings can resume.

The church will provide meals on a “first-come-first-served” basis until the food runs out.

All meals will be prepared in accordance with the best food safety practices and current state and federal guidelines regarding the health of all food service personnel.

“We look forward to serving our friends and neighbors in the community during these challenging times,” Scott Lewellyn said.

“Most importantly, we ask you all to remember that we are all in this ‘together’ and we are commanded by faith and the words of Jesus Christ to ‘love your neighbors.’

“Please take time to reach out and serve the needs of our senior citizens and your own neighbors in the days and weeks ahead” he said.
