Virtual Duck Race planned

NIAGARA, Wis. — The sixth annual Niagara Knights of Columbus Jeff Champeau Memorial Virtual Duck Race will be Saturday, July 25.

As the Knights are concerned with everyone’s health and safety due to COVID-19, and possible related issues involved, the Knights will conduct a virtual random number generator duck race this year.

The virtual race will take place at 7 p.m. The first-place duck will pay $1,000, with second through sixth plus the last duck also paying.

Duck costs are $5 each, six for $25, 12 for $50, 18 for $75 or 25 for $100, which includes an entry into a special $500 cash prize drawing.

Ducks may be purchased from Joe Champeau at 906-396-7442, Joe Johnston at 906-282-6517 or Bob Burton at 715-251-4714.

Ducks also may be purchased from any Niagara Knight of Columbus or at various local establishments in Niagara and the surrounding area.

“Thank you for your support. Sorry for any inconvenience,” said Dan Decker, KC member. “Hope to see you all next year when we can hold the actual duck race event again.”
