Mobile Food Pantry in Menominee
MENOMINEE — In collaboration with the Marinette/Menominee Young Professionals, The Salvation Army will host its first Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry truck at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
A Mobile Food Pantry contains 15,000 pounds of food sent on a truck in order to supply 300 families in need, on a first-come, first serve basis. The Mobile Pantry will be at the M&M Plaza parking lot near the old K-mart in Menominee and will be a drive-through process to accommodate COVID-19 safety guidelines.
“With families continuing to struggle through difficult times, we are really excited for this new opportunity to serve the community. With the help of other groups and businesses like The Young Professionals who saw a need and offered to contribute volunteers and businesses stepping up and sponsoring a truck for this large effort, we are hopeful that we can continue to bring Mobile Food Pantry to the area,” Captain Rhegan Stansbury said.
To sponsor a truck or volunteer, call the main office for more information at 715-735-7448.
