Alzheimer’s program Tuesday

NIAGARA, Wis. — The educational program “Ten Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s” will be offered by the Alzheimer’s Association at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Adapt Clinic, 1201 Jackson St. in Niagara, Wis.

The program will be presented by Allyson Jones, dementia care specialist at the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Marinette County.

Alzheimer’s and other dementias cause changes in memory, thinking and behavior that interfere with daily life. Participants will learn about 10 common warning signs and what to watch for in themselves and others.

The one-hour program covers —

— Typical age-related changes;

— Common warning signs of Alzheimer’s;

— How to approach someone about memory concerns;

— Early detection, the benefits of a diagnosis and the diagnostic process;

— Alzheimer’s Association resources.
