IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Library will host a Countdown to Noon from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31 at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Ages 4 to 7 are invited to ring in the new year a few hours early with a countdown to noon. Activities include a 2022 Wishing Wall, photo booth, do-it-yourself noisemakers and a New Year’s Eve hat craft. Registration opens Monday, Dec. 27, and is limited to 30 children; call the Iron Mountain library at 906-774-1218 to sign up. Face masks will be required for this event.

Holiday closures will include:

— The North Dickinson Branch will be closed from Friday, Dec. 24, through Sunday, Jan. 2.

— The Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain and Solomonson branch in Norway will be closed Friday, Dec. 24, through Sunday, Dec. 26, with regular hours resuming Monday, Dec. 27.

— The Iron Mountain and Norway sites will close at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, and remain closed Saturday, Jan. 1, and Sunday, Jan. 2. Regular hours at all library locations will resume Monday, Jan. 3.
