Patriotism essay winner

Dickinson County Area Veterans Alliance treasurer Lewis Adams presents a $1,000 check to Megan Elsey as her husband Bob and sons Aaron and David look on. Elsey’s essay on patriotism was chosen by a panel of veteran readers. To receive the award for Bay College West, she was required to read her essay to the group. She plans to attend Bay West to prepare to return to the workforce when her youngest son begins school. The Elsey family lives in Norway.
