Library events planned
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Library’s schedule of upcoming events includes:
— Iron Chef: You’re Going to Need a Bigger Boat.: Tuesday, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the library in Iron Mountain and Thursday, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Norway City Hall, 915 Main St. in Norway.
Inspired by the television show “Iron Chef,” tweens and teens in sixth through 12th grades will be asked to make delicious no-bake creations incorporating the Summer Reading theme “Oceans of Possibilities” and a secret ingredient. — “Wimee’s Words” Live: Wednesday, at 3 p.m. at the library in Iron Mountain.
Watch “Wimee’s Words,” a television show featuring robot puppet Wimee, and interact live with your own words and ideas that Wimee will incorporate into stories and songs in real time. For ages 4 to 8. Sponsored by the Michigan Learning Channel.
— Get Your Glow On.: Friday, at 5 p.m.at the library in Iron Mountain.
Kids in third through eighth grades are invited to join in a spectacular afternoon of glow-in-the-dark activities such as Glow Twister, Ring Toss, and a glowing bead craft. Space is limited and registration is required; call 906-774-1218 to sign up. Sponsored by TDS Inc.
