KINGSFORD — Tickets will soon be available for the annual “Sounds of Christmas” concert presented by the Dickinson County Community Chorus.

The concert is planned for 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 28-29, in the Kingsford High School auditorium.

Principal Conductor Crystal Hogan has selected some beautiful pieces of choral music for the season — some familiar and some new.

The DCCC Children’s Chorus will be featured during the concert, under the direction of Dawn Kranz.

Two select ensembles, under the direction of Jeremiah Garrigues-Cortelyou, will also be featured on the concert.

Jean Panek on piano and various instrumentalists will accompany the chorus.

Tickets for the concert are a $10 donation for adults and $5 donation for students.

Tickets can be purchased starting early in November from any chorus member, The Music Tree after Nov. 9 and at the door. Persons are to note The Music Tree is moving to their new location at 617 N. Stephenson Ave. on the north side of Iron Mountain and will reopen in early November. Cash or check will be accepted.

Proceeds from the concert support the chorus in all their programs throughout the year.

The public is encouraged to purchase tickets early, as both performances have been sold out for in past years.
