Cloverton at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church

Cloverton will perform at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on Friday.

KINGSFORD — National recording artist Cloverton will be performing a Christmas Concert at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kingsford at 7 p.m. on Friday.

The Manhattan, Kan.-based band propelled onto the Christmas music scene in 2011 as the first ever “Rock the Camp” contest winners hosted by TobyMac and Camp Electric.

Cloverton scored the most downloaded song in the history of KLOVE radio for their first single, “Take Me into the Beautiful.” They are perhaps best known for their, “A Hallelujah Christmas,” a rendition of the Leonard Cohen song “Hallelujah” that has reached millions of viewers on YouTube, been a #1 track on iTunes, and featured on multiple national television and media outlets.

Local artist Heather Ruesch will open for the band and admission is free to the public with a freewill offering taken at the door. Due to limited capacity, those attending are asked to register at the Our Redeemer website, www.ourredeemerkingsford.org, where seats can be reserved. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
