Joseph A. Velie was recently exemplified into the 3rd Degree of the Iron River Knights of Columbus, Council 2300. Velie is a 2023 high school graduate, and recently completed his freshman year at Bay College Iron Mountain, majoring in music. Velie has entertained at local parish events playing guitar and participated with the choir. He Is a parishioner of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian, growing up in a very religious family. He Is the son of Joseph And Christine Velie Of Gaastra. Velie is the director of religious education of St. Agnes/St. Cecilia parishes. He is also the recorder for Council 2300.
