Rummage sale fundraiser for the Mansfield Pioneer Church planned
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Mansfield Memories Committee will host a fundraising rummage sale for the Mansfield Pioneer Church to coincide with Fungus Fest.
The rummage sale will start at 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday near Superior Sport and Feed on Superior Avenue in Crystal Falls. The store is owned by Mansfield Memories committee members Steve and Nicole Lenhart.
Signs will be posted and the sale will also be advertised on the city-wide rummage sale map. Proceeds will be used for church maintenance and some improvements. Items available at the sale will include tools, household items, power washer, jewelry as well as new merchandise.
Mansfield Centennial books will also be available for purchase.
A small group of volunteers donate their time to keep this little log church open for all to visit. Guests say that it’s like stepping back in time when they enter the church, complete with a beautiful antique pump organ. The church is on Stream Road in Mansfield Township and hosts a summer and Christmas service each year. The church is also available to rent for small weddings, memorials or other family gatherings.
Rental information can be obtained by calling 906-875-6098. The church is a 501(c)(3) organization.
