Mobile Food Pantry to remain at Redemption Hill Church
KINGSFORD — The Feeding America West Michigan mobile food pantry, held at Redemption Hill Church in Kingsford in both November and December, will be hosted by Redemption Hill Church for all of 2025. It will not return to the Tri-City Cinemas in Quinnesec as was originally expected.
The next date for the mobile food pantry is Wednesday. Food distribution starts at 10 a.m., with customer sign-in beginning at least one hour beforehand. This is a drive-thru food distribution. Redemption Hill Church is at 332 S. Carpenter Ave. in Kingsford.
The food in the mobile food pantry is available to any individual or family experiencing food insecurity. Full name, full address, information about household size and make-up, and reason for needing food is needed for each household receiving food. No documentation is required. One vehicle may pick up food for up to three households.
The 2025 schedule for this FAWM mobile food pantry is the second Wednesday of every month. As this is an entirely volunteer effort, deliveries may be subject to cancellation, and customers should check newspapers, Facebook and other local media before each scheduled date for confirmation.
Questions about the Mobile Food Pantry or about volunteering should be directed to the site coordinator, Anda Tavonatti, at 906-239-6778, not to Redemption Hill Church.
