Hope Church announces 2025 Summer Reading Challenge

IRON MOUNTAIN — Hope Church of Iron Mountain invites local students from kindergarten through 12th grade to participate in their inaugural Summer Reading Challenge, kicking off Sunday and running through July 31.

This initiative encourages young readers to explore exciting stories, educational resources and more throughout the summer months.

Students are asked to read five books of their choice, log their progress and have an adult submit their completed reading log by Aug. 5.

Students who complete the challenge will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 Walmart gift card along with a special Hope Church prize pack. One winner will be selected from each age group –kindergarten through third grade, fourth through eighth grades and ninth through 12th grades.

As an added incentive, participants can earn a bonus entry by demonstrating their family has a new-or-pre-existing Dickinson County Library card. Note: This is not sponsored by the library, but supporting our local community is a major priority of Hope Church.

“We’re excited to support literacy and inspire students in our community to grow in knowledge and faith throughout the summer,” said the Rev. Anthony Miller, pastor of Hope Church of Iron Mountain. “For us, this challenge is not about prizes; it’s about fostering a lifelong love of reading and learning.”

More details as well as a printable bookmark to track reading progress can be found by going online to the Hope Church website at www.hopeimt.org/read or contacting Miller directly, at amiller@hopeimt.org.

Starting at $3.50/week.
