Marquette farmers market season to start

MARQUETTE — The first Downtown Marquette Wednesday Night Farmers Market for the 2025 season is from 5 to 8 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday in downtown Marquette.

The Farmers Market will shut down the 100 block of West Washington Street to bring the festive summer experience to the market and to the downtown every Wednesday this summer season. The street closes at 3 p.m. and opens again at 9 p.m. No parking will be allowed on the street during the closure.

Businesses that line the 100 block will be open during market hours, including market setup from 3 to 5 p.m. The street will be blocked off and closed for pedestrian traffic during market setup hours. Please utilize crosswalks at the ends of the block to cross the street until 5 p.m.

Shoppers will be greeted with a bustling street market offering a wide array of vendors from throughout the community every Wednesday. Shoppers can choose from fresh, locally grown, seasonal produce, baked goods, locally raised meat, kombucha, coffee, bread, hot sauce and more! Our artisans offer handcrafted goods such as soaps, lotions, jewelry, woodworking products and knit products, to name a few.

The Information Booth is at the intersection of Washington and Front streets.

The Downtown Marquette Social District will be active during this time and extend into the street to offer Farmers Market attendees the opportunity to shop amongst the vendors with an alcoholic beverage purchased from a participating downtown restaurant or bar. Shoppers can now plan for their market visit by using new resources available on the market’s website. The interactive Market Map allows shoppers to search for vendors and products, learn more about each vendor, and map their shopping experience accordingly.

Additionally, the Vendors Directory page provides shoppers with links and information about each vendor, including specific offerings and which dates they will be at the market. Links to these resources can be found on the market’s homepage at www.mqtfarmersmarket.com.

The DMFM will continue to accept a wide array of food assistance programs, including EBT Bridge Card, P-EBT Card, Double Up Food Bucks, Fresh Food Access, and Food as Medicine vouchers.

More information about accepted forms of payment can be found on the DMFM website at www.mqtfarmersmarket.com/paymentoptions.
