EAGLE RIVER, Wis. — The Enchanted Doll Club of the Northwoods will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the meeting room of the Kalmar Community Center, 1011 Railroad St. in Eagle River.

Jill Helmke of Wausau, Wis., will present a program on Maud Toussey Fangel, who was a children’s artist. Her illustrations were on the cover of many early 20th century magazines. Even the Cracker Jack boy was one of her illustrations. Eventually her illustrations were made into soft-bodied dolls.
