FLORENCE, Wis. — The Northern Saddle Club of Florence County continues to offer its monthly group rides at 10 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month.
The club alternates between Halls Creek and Bush Lake Flats Trailheads. Trail maps are available on the website.
Upcoming schedule: Today, Halls Creek; Aug. 24, Florence County Fair participation; Sept. 13, Bush Lake Flats; and Oct. 11, Halls Creek, which is the Fall Ride and Fundraiser.
After the outing, a potluck is planned at 4 p.m., followed by a campfire.
Riders are welcome to ride with the group or by themselves. Participants are required to turn in a copy of their horse’s negative Coggins test.
The Northern Saddle Club will have its next meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Aurora Town Hall, 1942 Calvary Drive in Aurora, Wis.
They will have new logo shirts available for $20 each.
Anyone interested in joining the club is welcome. Fees are $15 for families or $10 for a single membership per calendar year.
Members do not need to have a horse to join — many enjoy helping out during events.
