Yoga class at Florence Resource Center begins Thursday

FLORENCE, Wis. — Yoga classes with Jodi Wadge will begin Thursday at the Florence Resource Center.

The 45-minute classes will take place at 5:30 p.m. for four weeks on Thursdays this week through Oct. 30 in the lower level of the center. Participants must be 18 years of age.

Participants are welcome to bring their own mat and block, or equipment will be provided.

Wadge is an experienced, registered 200-hour yoga instructor, physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist.

Yoga has decades of evidence that show it improves overall health at any age. Each class is a new opportunity to grow in this healthy and beneficial practice.

The collaboration is provided through the Florence County Aging and Disability Resource Center and Public Health Department.

Cost is $5 per session, to be paid at each class. Everyone must register for each class.

The Florence County Health Department is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Friday by appointment on the first floor of the courthouse, 501 Lake Ave. in Florence.
