CRYSTAL FALLS — A one-day quilt raffle will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Crystal Falls District Library, in conjunction with the Crystal Christmas festivities.
The quilt was made by the Library Quilters Diane Tesheneck, Cheryl Stromberg, April Carlton-Pearson, Heather Strong and group leader Charlene Bendick.
The quilt pattern is called “Double Four-Patch Scrap Quilt,” with Benedict doing the long-armed finishing of the quilt.
The group meets weekly at the library, and have been working on this piece since September.
Raffle tickets are $5 or three for $10.
All proceeds from the quilt raffle will be donated to the Friends of the Crystal Falls Library.
In addition, the library will host Authorpalooza from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Santa will be at the library from 1 to 3 p.m. and Christmas story hour starts at 2 p.m. They will also have a Christmas Jigsaw Puzzle Contest from 4 to 6 p.m.
A free film, “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” will be shown at 7 p.m. at the Crystal Theatre. Proceeds raised will go to the Friends of the Crystal Falls Library.
