‘Armchair Airline’ on Friday in Iron River
IRON RIVER — Adults who love travel and culture are encouraged to attend the “Armchair Airline” program at 11 a.m. Friday at the West Iron District Library in Iron River.
Attendees can enjoy an interactive presentation on the history and culture of Morocco, sample foods from the country, and take home a featured spice.
“This is your chance to sample the flavors and culture of beautiful Morocco from the comfort of our climate-controlled conference room,” said Erika Sauter, program coordinator. “It’s free to attend and will include several imported foods.”
Aubrey Moore, 2009 West Iron graduate residing in Marquette, will share about her trip to Morocco in 2014.
The program will also cover some brief history, the top sites to see and some of the unique customs of the nation.
“This is the eighth program in the ‘Armchair Airline’ series featured at the WIDL, so come see what the hype is about,” Sauter said.
Reservations are appreciated for this program, but walk-ins are welcome.
The WIDL endeavors to provide fun and educational programs for all ages. For more information, go to westironlib.org, stop by the circulation desk at 116 W. Genesee St., call 906-265-2831 or email esauter@westironlib.org.
