K of C raffle tickets now on sale in IR

IRON RIVER — The Iron River Knights of Columbus Council 2300 is conducting its 32nd-annual 20 Club Raffle. The raffle began Aug. 7, with the final drawing on Dec. 18. The raffle will have 20 weekly drawings that include 16 $100 winners and four $300 winners. Tickets can be purchased by mailing $20, with checks payable to the Knights of Columbus, to Art Aregoni, c/o K of C, P.O. Box 3, Caspian, MI 49915. UP Fall Beer Festival set for Sept. 12 in Marquette

MARQUETTE — The countdown is on for the 17th-annual U.P. Fall Beer Festival hosted by the Michigan Brewers Guild, taking place from 1 to 6 p.m. Eastern time Saturday, Sept. 12, along the Lake Superior shoreline in Marquette’s Mattson Lower Harbor Park. Post 145 to host breakfast Sunday

NORWAY — The American Legion Post 145 of Norway will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the hall. Menu includes scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, French toast, hashbrown potatoes, toast, fruit salad, coffee, milk and juice. Cost is $10 per person, with children age 6 and younger eating for free.
