Local author Gail Galotta to visit the Dickinson County Library

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain will host local author Gail Galotta at 6 p.m. today at the library. Galotta will share her collection of short stories. With themes of mystery, suspense and the supernatural, Galotta’s newest book, “Voices Carry Here,” is sure to please horror fans just in time for Halloween. She will share tricks and tips about writing and have an open question and answer session. Books will be available for purchase and signing as well.

Doll club to meet in Eagle River

EAGLE RIVER, Wis. — The Enchanted Doll Club of the Northwoods will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the meeting room of the Kalmar Community Center, 1011 N. Railroad St. in Eagle River. Nancy Mansavage of Eagle River will present a program on Holly Hobbie.
