IRON RIVER – Four new providers have been added to the team at the Ice Lake Clinic, according to an announcement by officials with Northstar Health System.

Dr. Niral Patel is a board-certified physician of Family Medicine and comes to Northstar from St. Mary’s of Michigan in Chesaning. Dr. Patel studied at the Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies and completed his residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit. Dr. Patel will provide both clinical and hospital coverage during our recruitment efforts.

Dr. Ronald Dalton is returning to Northstar where he practiced from 1998 to 2010. Dr. Dalton will be providing hospitalist coverage along with seeing patients at the Ice Lake Clinic and in the Northstar Emergency Department. He completed a combined residency of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, W.Va.. Recently, he’s been a practicing physician at Gila Regional Hospital in Silver City, N.M..

Both Dr. Dalton and Dr. Patel will be joining providers Dr. Nagaraju Choragudi and Andrew Oberlin, PA-C, in the Ice Lake Clinic.

Dr. Choragudi joined Northstar Health System in February 2014 as a hospitalist and is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine who will also be seeing patients in the Ice Lake Clinic. In 2012, he was selected as one of America’s Top Physicians in Internal Medicine by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.

Andrew Oberlin, PA-C, joined Northstar Health System in June 2014. He was previously employed by Mayo Clinic where he specialized in Family Medicine. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

This medical team will be available to provide Internal Medicine, Family Practice and Pediatric care to the patients in our community.
