IRON MOUNTAIN – Dr. John Fornetti, of the John Fornetti Center for Dental Implants & Aesthetics in Iron Mountain, has received a state of Michigan Special Tribute recognition.

This honor was presented by State Rep. Ed McBroom to recognize Fornetti and his center for the community involvement with their annual Dentistry From The Heart and Dentistry For Our Vets free dental care events.

“My office often receives calls from folks needing dental services. There aren’t a lot of government programs available, so we depend on community-minded businesses that are willing to supply these services charitably. We express our appreciation to Dr. John Fornetti and The John Fornetti Dental Center for being one of those community-minded businesses,” McBroom said.

Dentistry From The Heart was held on Feb. 28, and was the ninth annual event put on by The John Fornetti Dental Center. This year, 161 people in need of dental care were helped, with more than 282 treatments and more than $48,000 in treatment services being donated by the Dr. John, Dr. Dan, the staff, and more than 30 volunteers.

The John Fornetti Dental Center has been providing dental care in the area since 1983.
