Six Aspirus sites ranked among top rural hospitals

Five of Aspirus’ rural hospitals in Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula — including the Iron River site — recently were named among the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the United States by The Chartis Center for Rural Health.

Hospitals recognized as a Top 100 facility scored in the top 100 among all critical access or rural and community hospitals nationwide.

Cited along with Aspirus Iron River Hospital were Aspirus Ironwood Hospital and Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium, along with Aspirus Langlade Hospital in Antigo, Wis., and Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford, Wis.

In addition, Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids was named a Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital.
