WPR Farm Show set for Tuesday through Thursday
OSHKOSH, Wis. — Wisconsin Public Service will have its 64th-annual WPS Farm Show starting Tuesday and extending through Thursday at the Experimental Aircraft Association grounds in Oshkosh.
The show draws farmers and families from across the Upper Midwest, with about 20,000 expected to attend over the three days.
“We are excited to host this signature event and connect farmers with the latest innovations that can help their farms succeed for years to come,” said Rob Juneau, manager of the WPS Farm Show. “Each year, the WPS Farm Show helps support an industry that’s a vital piece of our state’s economy and legacy. We’re proud to continue this tradition as part of our commitment to support farmers and strengthen our communities.”
The WPS Farm Show will include 400 exhibitors from across the United States and Canada that will fill four hangars and two exhibitor tents on the EAA grounds. Animal nutrition products, large farm machinery, precision agriculture technology and robotic milking equipment are some of the hundreds of products that will be on display.
While many exhibitors are returning, new businesses continue to join in the event. The show will have 33 exhibitors making their first appearance, with dozens of new products, including crop health solutions, drone technology, livestock feed mixers and precision mapping technology.
WPS has hosted the WPS Farm Show since 1961 to help farmers improve the efficiency of their operations. The show connects farmers — from small family farms to large dairy operations — with exhibitors whose products can help their farms thrive and expand.
The show also gives visitors the chance to learn more about using energy safely and efficiently. Farmers can visit the renovated WPS booth in Hangar A to see the latest farm electrical systems. WPS agricultural consultants will be available inside the booth to answer questions, discuss energy needs and share strategies and managing a farm’s energy use.
Additional attractions include —
— The WPS Farm Show Food Tent, with state nonprofit groups selling dishes and treats.
— Kids’ tractor pull event at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, sponsored by FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative and Fox Valley Quality Control Lab.
— A silent auction in Hangar B, benefitting the Wisconsin FFA Foundation.
— Free health screenings from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh nursing students, in Hangar C.
The WPS Farm Show will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.
Admission to the event is free, though there is a $5 charge to park on the EAA grounds Tuesday and Wednesday. Complimentary parking will be available Thursday, courtesy of GreenStone Farm Credit Services and Compeer Financial.
