Community Foundation awards grant funds

IRON MOUNTAIN – The Dickinson Area Community Foundation and the Youth Advisory Council of Iron Mountain-Kingsford held a check presentation celebration to award 2019 grant dollars to local non-profits for programs and projects.

Agency and Field of Interest funds were awarded $145,794 and the IM-K YACs awarded $22,037.

The annual grant application cycle opens in the fall of each year, then applications are distributed to various committees which evaluate and recommend awards for each of the endowment funds. Each endowment fund has specific guidelines and criteria which allows for unique and purposeful granting by the Community Foundation.
