DCHS to restrict visitors due to illness in area
IRON MOUNTAIN — Due to high numbers of respiratory illness and influenza, Dickinson County Healthcare System has announced visitor restrictions at the hospital until further notice.
Visitors must be feeling well and in good health to visit patients, officials said. Anyone with a fever, cough, congestion or nausea is urged not to visit.
In the obstetrics department, in order to keep newborns and their mothers safe and healthy, only significant others and grandparents will be allowed to visit. Anyone less than 18 years of age, including siblings, will not be allowed in the OB Department.
