NORWAY — Norway will treat the city water system with chlorine today as a precaution after having a water main leak from the well house, city officials said.

This action follows state Department of Environmental Quality procedures. There is no danger to the public, according to city officials.

Until repairs can be made, residents are asked to refrain from watering lawns, gardens and filling pools or doing any other unnecessary water use.

City crews are working on getting this repaired and appreciate the public’s patience and understanding.
