4-H program coordinator hired in Oconto, Marinette counties

MARINETTE, Wis. — The Division of Extension would like to announce Aimee Elkins started on Aug. 14 as the 4-H program coordinator for both Oconto and Marinette counties.

With over 500 youth involved in the 4-H Program in this two county area, Extension is looking to provide leadership to grow the program and reach even more youth in the future. The coordinator leads and manages a full range of 4-H Youth Development programs including clubs, after school programs, educational experiences and camps. Program coordinators also design and deliver educational programming to address locally identified needs.

Elkins graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in psychology. She has experience working with families adopting children with special needs, as well as working in a home visitation program for first time parents. Most recently she had been serving as a Healthy Families Supervisor for Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin.

“Aimee is going to be a great addition to Extension in both Marinette and Oconto counties,” says Nancy Crevier, area extension director. “She is looking forward to meeting with area 4-H clubs to meet our youth members and to begin working with our 4-H adult volunteers.”
