Traber introduced as new IM principal

IRON MOUNTAIN — William Traber will serve as principal for grades 5 through 12 at Iron Mountain Public Schools for the upcoming year.

Traber comes to Iron Mountain from Northland Scholars Academy in Dunbar, Wis., where he was associate principal and dean of students.

“I grew up visiting the Iron Mountain community as a child spending time with family,” Traber said. “These were some of my fondest memories and I am humbled to have called this community my home for the past two years.”

Hailing from central Wisconsin, Traber is an avid angler and outdoorsman, often accompanied by his Australian blue heeler dog Zeke.

“I am looking forward to going the ‘Mountaineer Mile’ for students, staff, and community.” he said. “If you wish to contact me, I can be reached at the high school by phone or traberw@imschools.org.”
