Man arrested after stabbing in Iron River

IRON RIVER — A man was arrested Monday after authorities said another man was stabbed multiple times at an Iron River gas station.

Iron River Police officers about 7:45 a.m. Monday found the victim had a puncture wound and laceration to the face and several superficial wounds in the abdomen, according to a news release from Iron River Police Chief Curtis Bristol.

The man accused in the attack reportedly was identified through security footage. He was arrested at his residence before being taken to the Iron County Jail.

The incident appeared to be random, as the victim did not know his attacker, the release stated.

IRPD officers were assisted by Caspian Police and the Iron County Sheriff’s Department.
