KINGSFORD — Students from Amy Bracket’s marketing class at the Dickinson-Iron Career and Tech Center participated Feb. 7 in the Great Lakes High School Sales Challenge at Western Michigan University.

Students were required to submit a video of a personal pitch for a job at Crystal Mountain Resort. Among all the submissions, 48 students then were selected to participate in a face-to-face personal pitch on the WMU campus in Kalamazoo.

Adrienne Taylor, Kyle Benjamin and Ellison Richmond represented the Dickinson-Iron Career and Tech Center at the event.

Benjamin placed second in the personal pitch statewide competition, coming home with a plaque, Crystal Mountain sweatshirt and Western Michigan University water bottle.

“All three of these students represented our Dickinson-Iron Career and Tech Center in an extremely professional manner,” said Bracket. “I was very impressed with their preparation for the competition and devotion to doing their very best. To come home with a second-place winner is quite the achievement.”
