IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County District Judge Julie A. LaCost has issued her activity report for the month of June.

New criminal cases for the month included 12 felonies, 21 misdemeanors, and 13 OWI/OUID misdemeanors.

New civil cases for the month included 30 general civil cases, eight small claims cases and two landlord/tenant disputes.

New traffic cases included 135 civil infractions, 30 misdemeanors and 10 non-traffic civil infractions.

Criminal dispositions for the month included three guilty pleas to felonies reduced to misdemeanors, 15 felony preliminary exams were waived over to circuit court, one felony drunk driving preliminary exam waived over to circuit court, 10 misdemeanors and four OWI/OUID misdemeanors.

Civil Dispositions included 10 general civil, and one small claim.

Traffic dispositions included 79 civil infractions and seven misdemeanors. There were nine non-traffic civil infractions.

The District Court handled four probation violation hearings and two drug-sobriety court referrals. One defendant was referred to the shoplifters counseling program, one was referred to the sheriff’s work van and one was referred to alcohol counseling.

There were 12 show cause hearings and one marriage ceremony.

Funds turned over to the county treasurer totaled $59,473.75. Funds turned over to the court trust totaled $5,314.86.
