School, township, county meetings on calendar

Iron Mountain Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday via a virtual conference line on YouTube. The link will be available on the front page at imschools.org five minutes prior to the meeting.

Norway Township Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Norway Township Hall in Vulcan. The meeting is open to the public, but social distancing must be observed.

Dickinson County Board of Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the circuit courtroom the courthouse, observing social distancing. Instructions for virtual participation by Zoom may be posted at http://www.dickinsoncountymi.gov/. The agenda includes a contract for capital improvements at Ford Airport.

Breitung Township Schools Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the board room at Woodland Elementary School in Kingsford. The agenda includes a personnel committee report and a building, grounds and transportation committee report.

Waucedah Township Board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the township hall in Loretto, with social distancing to be observed.

Breitung Township Board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the township hall in Quinnesec, observing social distancing. The meeting is also accessible electronically. The board will also hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, under the same procedures, to select a Department of Public Works superintendent.

North Dickinson County School Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the high school library. The agenda includes the approval of a bid for bond financing, seeking bids for a roofing project, and the extended COVID-19 learning plan.

Iron County Board of Commissioners will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the commissioners room in the courthouse in Crystal Falls. Additional information is available at https://ironmi.org/. The agenda includes the pandemic preparedness and response plan, and a Michigan Department of Natural Resources recreation grant application and the 2020 apportionment report.

The Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District will conduct its regular board meeting at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the DIISD Borga Center, 1074 Pyle Dr., Kingsford. The board will immediately go into a closed session for the purpose of the superintendent’s evaluation and anticipates returning to open session at approximately 11 a.m. and recessing for lunch.

The Dickinson County Healthcare System Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet at 5 p.m. Thursday. Meeting instructions will be available at https://www.dchs.org/about-us/board-of-trustees-meetings.
