NIAGARA, Wis. — No one was injured in a fire Wednesday morning that left a Chapman Road house a total loss in Niagara, Wis.

The structure already had burned down by the time the Niagara Fire Department arrived after being called about 10:30 a.m., Chief Shawn Brown said.

No one was in the home when the fire broke out, he said.

Firefighters extinguished hot spots in the rubble before returning to the station at noon, Brown said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
