IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County District Judge Julie A. LaCost has issued her activity report for the month of April.

New criminal cases for the month included 33 felonies, 17 misdemeanors and 15 OWI/OUID misdemeanors.

New civil cases for the month included 26 general civil cases, 12 small claims cases and six landlord/tenant disputes.

New traffic cases included 120 civil infractions, 34 misdemeanors and seven non-traffic civil infractions.

Criminal dispositions for the month included two guilty pleas to felonies reduced to misdemeanors, 12 felony preliminary exams, with 10 waived over to circuit court, 13 misdemeanors and 13 OWI/OUID misdemeanors.

Civil dispositions included 24 general civil and three landlord/tenant.

Traffic dispositions included 101 civil infractions and 11 misdemeanors. There were three non-traffic civil infractions.

The district court handled three court trials, eight probation violation hearings, three drug-sobriety court referrals, two defendants were referred to the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, three defendants were referred to the shoplifters counseling program and 10 defendants were referred to alcohol counseling. There was one show cause hearing.

Fund turned over to the county treasurer totaled $66,315.59. Funds totaled over to the court trust totaled $14,315.10.
