For a second straight year, members of the Dickinson County Running Club dressed up for the season for a 4-mile run along Stephenson and Carpenter avenues Sunday afternoon. Some wore costumes, others “ugly sweaters” for the event, which drew honks and waves from passing motorists. The group decided to repeat the run given the response last year, said Melissa Wentarmini, who with husband Dan dressed as the characters Jovie and Buddy from the film “Elf.” They also added a Mrs. Claus along with Santa. “It seems like the community kind of gets a kick out of it,” she said.
