Studying water cycles
Students in the fifth- and sixth-grade class at Bishop Baraga Catholic School in Iron Mountain had a fun introduction to the water cycle. They rolled dice to determine how they, as a water molecule, might move through Earth’s systems. By following the clues paired with numbers rolled, students found themselves evaporating, precipitating, trapped in a glacier or moving through an animal into groundwater that flows to the ocean. This journey was a new way to introduce the water cycle.
