IRON MOUNTAIN — First National Bank & Trust and the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to mark for this year’s Spread Goodness Day by spreading Chamber Cash throughout the community.
Spread Goodness Day, an annual event in March founded by Anna Dravland of Marquette, is intended to encourage individuals, businesses and organizations globally to take one action of goodness on that day, set this year for Friday. First National Bank & Trust has taken part since Spread Goodness Day started in 2018.
For this year’s event, First National Bank & Trust will provide Chamber Cash to participating businesses to pay for random customers’ purchases throughout the day. Recipients will receive a card informing them they’ve been treated to a random act of goodness for Spread Goodness Day, compliments of the chamber and First National Bank & Trust.
“First National Bank & Trust has been a proud supporter of Spread Goodness Day since its inception,” said Matt Lutz, chief financial officer of First National Bank & Trust. “This year we are especially grateful to be partnering with the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce and so many wonderful local businesses. What better way to Spread Goodness in our community than randomly handing out $750 in Chamber Cash to individuals being loyal to local with our small businesses.”
Participating businesses include: Crispigna’s Italian Market, Dulce Nulla Gourmet Desserts, Iron Mountain Automotive, O.M.GIGI Boutique, Step Ahead Boots and Clothing, The Good Earth Salon, Town & Country Sales, Advanta Print, Aurora Liquors, Brick + Mortar, Campioni True Value, El Capitan Supper Club, Eureka Tire, Recreation Lanes and U.P. Pawn.
“I am honored to be part of such a worthwhile event like Spread Goodness Day,” said Suzanne Larson, executive director of the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce. “What a wonderful way to be able to give back to our chamber members by utilizing Chamber Cash while spreading joy and goodness to random people in our community. The whole idea here is to bring a global day of goodness to our little area of the world!”
