Temperatures soared into the upper 90s throughout the area Monday, with Iron Mountain unofficially reaching 97, which if it holds would tie the record high set in 1995. More than a few people sought relief from the heat at Lake Antoine. Today should again see highs reach the mid-90s on the official first day of summer before moderating the rest of the week into the upper 70s and mid-80s.
