Top Class of ’23 seniors at Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine


PEMBINE, Wis. — The Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine School District has named its top achievers from the Class of 2023.

They are:

— Samantha Swick, daughter of John and Kathy Swick of Beecher, Wis., is valedictorian.

Swick is president of the Student Council, president of her class and a member of the National Honor Society.

She has maintained a high honor roll status every quarter and earned several athletic awards.


Swick participated in volleyball all four years and was varsity team captain. She also was a volunteer assistant coach for the middle school volleyball team this spring.

Swick plans to pursue an associate degree in science at Bay College in Iron Mountain, then transfer to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point to major in zoology or animal sciences.

— Elijah Testini, son of Jessica Hildbold and Christopher Testini and the stepson of April Testini of Beecher, Wis., is salutatorian.

Testini has achieved high honor roll every year and played football and baseball since he came to Pembine in 10th grade.

He also worked at Domino’s for two years and is now a manager.

In his free time, Testini enjoys working on cars, four-wheelers and tractor-trailer trucks.

He plans to study automotive technology at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.
