IRON MOUNTAIN — It’s a reliable sign of the change of seasons in the region: The Daily News Spring Craft Show.

This annual show is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Kingsford Middle School, 445 Hamilton Ave. in Kingsford.

The show will feature 80 booths with vendors, crafters and businesses, home-based and otherwise, from throughout the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin, said Jennifer Flynn, Daily News circulation manager/Newspapers in Education coordinator.

A complete listing of vendors is on page B-6.

“This is a great opportunity for crafters, vendors, and home business owners to show off their products and get into the ‘spring is coming,’ mode,” she said.

More than 70 vendors will be on hand with items ranging from handmade jewelry to blankets, Easter treats and basket stuffers, baked goods. Girl Scout cookies will once again be available for purchase.

Informational booths will be set up as well for OSF Hospice and Catholic Social Services-Foster Care.

“Our spring show has now grown to the size of our Big Holiday Craft Show,” Flynn said, adding this year’s holiday show will be Saturday, Nov. 2.

Admission to the Spring Craft Show is free.

The Kingsford Music Booster Club once again will have its concession stand with its hot turkey sandwiches and beefy nachos on the menu.

The Daily News Spring Craft Show raises money for Newspapers in Education, a non-profit program supported solely through fundraising events, local business sponsors and generous subscribers.

NIE provides teachers and educators at area schools with the newspapers and other resources.
