Niagara library offers JobPod for job seekers, telehealth

A JobPod is now available at the Niagara Public Library in Niagara, Wis.
Niagara, Wis. – Niagara Public Library has installed a new JobPod, an innovative resource that provides community members with access to job search tools, telehealth appointments and a private, connected meeting space.
The JobPod, which resembles a soundproof booth, is equipped with a computer, privacy features, and a range of job search information, all without requiring a library card to use.
The JobPod is designed to support local job seekers with essential resources for career development, from creating resumes to preparing for interviews.
In addition to job-related services, the JobPod is available for anyone needing a private, connected space for virtual meetings, whether for health care appointments or other needs.
This cutting-edge resource is part of a larger initiative powered by a partnership with Microsoft, which brings enhanced digital literacy and technology training to the JobPod.
However, the primary goal is to provide the Niagara community with a flexible, accessible space to support a variety of needs. The JobPod is one of three currently operating in Wisconsin, with other locations at the Brown County Library East Branch and Algoma Public Library.
“Our mission is to empower individuals with the tools and resources they need for success, and this collaboration with libraries across the state ensures more people have access to the support they need,” said Vickie Patterson, executive director of the Bay Area Workforce Development Board.
