This week’s Back to the Present, provided by the Menominee Range Historical Museum in Iron Mountain, is of the more-than-century-old Baptist Church of Norway.

The first is the postcard view of the Swedish Baptist Church, at the southwest corner of Iron Street and then Lake Street, taken by the Iron Range Studio of Iron River before June 1931, the postmark on an identical card on eBay.

In October 1920, the property that had the Swedish Baptist Church and parsonage was sold to the Penn Iron Mining Company and the buildings were moved to that location, where they were thoroughly refitted.

The second postcard shows the Swedish Baptist Church, taken between 1950 and 1960.

The last photo is today’s view of the First Baptist Church at 425 Iron St. in Norway.

Starting at $3.50/week.
