KINGSFORD — The annual Holy Tuesday Ecumenical Service, sponsored by the Dickinson County Community Chorus and the Iron Mountain Area Clergy Association, will take place Tuesday at American Martyrs Catholic Church.

The program will begin at 7 p.m. at the church, 908 W. Sagola Ave. in Kingsford.

The ecumenical service consists of scripture readings and choral anthems based on the Lenten season.

The 65-member chorus is under the direction of Principal Conductor Crystal Hogan and accompanied on piano by Jean Panek.

Assistant conductors Dawn Kranz and Jeremiah Garrigues-Cortelyou will direct the women’s and men’s ensembles respectively. Mary Lee will lead the congregational singing on organ.

All area residents are welcome. Handicap access is available on the parking lot side of the church. Handicap parking and a ramp entrance are also behind the church.

While there is no charge for admission, a free-will offering will be taken by members of the Kiwanis Club to further the charity work of the Iron Mountain Area Clergy Association.

For those who cannot attend, the choral service will be videotaped and posted on the American Martyrs Church website at https://americanmartyrskg.org within a few days after the event.

Both organizations thank American Martyrs Parish and Monsignor Joseph Gouin for hosting the Holy Tuesday Service.

Starting at $3.50/week.
