Wellness Wednesday event in Iron County

The Iron Area Health Foundation hosted a Wellness Wednesday event last week at Young’s Recreational Complex in Crystal Falls. The presentation topic was Mental Health and Well Being. The presenter for the event was Philip Hefner-Gardiepy, Northpointe Behavioral Health Training coordinator and recipient rights officer. More than 25 people attended the presentation. Hefner-Gardiepy spoke about the “Magic in All of Us,” in which you need to approve of yourself; lighten up and have fun in life; let go of the anger; focus on what you really want; your limitations may just be in your mind; and explore, dream and discover. A question-and-answer session took place after the presentation. All attendees at the event were also provided a free salad bar dinner courtesy of Aspirus Healthcare in Iron River.
