KINGSFORD — EAA Chapter 439 will host a Flying Start program from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the EAA hangar at Ford Airport, 2280 Woodward Ave. in Kingsford.

This event is for anyone who has ever wondered what it would take to learn to fly. There will be a presentation on the steps it takes to become a pilot, the different levels of pilot licenses, the opportunities at Ford Airport for the learning process and engaging with the local pilot community.

An open Q&A session with the presenter and local pilot and flight instructor will take place after the presentation.

Representatives from various aviation business and organizations will be at the event. Food and coffee will be served before the event and, weather and pilot dependent, introductory flights may be available after the presentation.
